Dee’s Gardening and Landscaping will work on any size project. In the picture on the right a small garden area needs an arrangement of plants that compliment the woodsy landscape and the architecture of the home. Soil amendments were added to promote healthy growth. The old soil was sandy, compacted and lacking nutrients, the typical construction backfill on most foundations. The soil was removed and replaced with rich loam and enhanced with peat moss, composted manure, lime and a balanced fertilizer. The lawn was in great need of replacement. 

Making use of existing plants (ferns and daylily’s) and incorporating huchera, hosta, veronica and carefully selected rocks located on the property and placed in the garden for interest completed the look of this small, shady area. Saving the existing plants and providing them with a fertile soil was especially important to the owner. A lush carpet of sod was installed to replace the small sparse lawn. We were able to enhance the curb appeal of this cozy log cabin.
